Claudia Conway, one of Kellyanne Conway’s four children, has long been at odds on social media with her mother, who serves as a senior counselor to President Donald Trump. Claudia, 15, claimed two weeks ago that her mom had her arrested for making “false statements” about her online. On Saturday, the tension between the two appears to have escalated.

On August 22, she announced via Twitter that she’s “officially pushing for emancipation.” Claudia, whose father is journalist George Conway III, tweeted, “Buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. Welcome to my life.”

Claudia, who has over 273,000 followers on TikTok, shared a video on August 7 in which she appeared to be lying in bed and crying. While the song “Bulletproof” played, she added text to the video that read, “You think you can hurt my feelings? lol my mom is Kellyanne Conway.”

Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser to President Trump and one of his longest-serving aides, is leaving the White House at the end of the month. Conway, whose title is counselor to the president, was Trump’s third campaign manager in 2016 and the first woman to successfully manage a presidential bid to victory. She joined the White House at the start of Trump’s term and has been one of his most visible and vocal defenders.

Conway informed Trump of her decision Sunday night in the Oval Office. Her husband, George T. Conway III, a conservative lawyer and outspoken critic of the president, is also stepping back from his role on the Lincoln Project, an outside group of Republicans devoted to defeating Trump in November. He will also take a hiatus from Twitter, the venue he has often used to attack the president.

Kellyanne Conway is scheduled to speak at this week’s Republican National Convention, but it’s unclear if she will still do so. One of the Conways’ high school-aged daughters has generated attention on social media about her family and their political views over the last several months.

The Sunday evening announcement marks an abrupt end to Kellyanne Conway’s high-profile time in the White House where she earned a reputation as one of the President’s fiercest — and most controversial — defenders. She landed her position in 2016 after becoming the first female campaign manager to win a presidential race.

But political tension with her husband had spilled into public view in recent years. Trump himself rebuffed George Conway last year, labeling him “Mr. Kellyanne Conway” in a tweet.

The news of Conway’s impending departure from the White House follows a tweet from her 15-year-old daughter, Claudia, over the weekend announcing that she was “officially pushing for emancipation.”

In a series of tweets that followed, she said that her mother’s job had “ruined my life” and that she and her father “agree on absolutely nothing,” politically, “we just both happen to have common sense when it comes to our current president.”

On Sunday, the teenager clarified in a tweet that her desire for emancipation was not about her mother’s job, but “about years of childhood trauma and abuse,” then added: “this is becoming way too much so i am taking a mental health break from social media. see y’all soon. thank you for the love and support. no hate to my parents please.”

“The president wants everybody to stop the violence,” Conway said in response. “And I know you’re trying to conflate that individual with President Trump and you really shouldn’t do that. Just like CNN shouldn’t have had a chyron last night that said ‘mostly peaceful protests’ with fire in the background. So, that’s pretty offensive, Joe.”

When Johns continued to press Conway on “vigilantes” who “are supporters of the president, “Why are you talking about who they may vote for?” Conway interrupted. “Why are you trying to incite more trouble?”

Earlier on Friday, the famous 15-year-old TikToker posted a video saying Kellyanne, 53, has experienced COVID-19 symptoms.

Attorney General William Barr is choosing not to quarantine after recently coming in close contact with members of President Donald Trump’s inner circle who have tested positive for Covid-19, including former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway.

Conway is among at least seven people who have contracted the virus after attending a Rose Garden event last Saturday where Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Barr, who was seen leaving the White House Friday night by photojournalists, also attended the nomination event, where he sat in the front row and was among those tested by the White House for Covid-19.

Following Trump’s announcement, Barr and Conway chatted in close proximity, hardly standing the recommended six feet apart, for an extended period of time. Both were seen not wearing masks. Barr also shook hands with other guests, touched his face and mingled among the crowd.

The White House said in a press release that Conway will be appointed to the board of visitors of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and Chao, who is also married to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), will be a member of the board of trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Police have launched an investigation into a topless photo of Kellyanne Conway’s 16-year-old daughter, Claudia — which the teen says was posted on her mom’s Twitter — and cops paid a visit to the family’s New Jersey mansion Tuesday.

Just before noon, four officers showed up with papers in hand at the Conways’ home in tony Alpine and spent about an hour inside before leaving.

Alpine Police Chief Christopher Belcolle confirmed that a probe was underway. “An investigation is being conducted. No additional information can be released,” Belcolle said, noting that records regarding juveniles are not made public.

She closed the letter in saying it was a “privilege” to serve on the board under former President Donald Trump, “whose actions resulted in the deaths of terrorists” including Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi and Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Qasem Soleimani, “rather than a president whose actions resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members. “I’m not resigning, but you should,” she added.

During a phone conversation with Trump this summer, Conway, who was not formally on the 2020 campaign team, was decidedly blunt with the former president about where he went astray in his unsuccessful reelection bid, according to a new book by Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, an early copy of which was obtained by Insider.

The former president told Conway that he valued her advice and felt “nostalgic” regarding his 2016 campaign, when he was largely seen as a businessman and a political outsider. “That’s why you’re going to be in charge of everything, honey, the next time,” Trump reportedly said, alluding to a potential 2024 bid.

“You were the underdog both times even though you were the president of the United States the second time,” she said. “But what you didn’t have this time was the hunger and the swagger. And you weren’t under-resourced and understaffed. If anything, Arlington became Brooklyn.”
